Vivacity Quartet

Mary has been singing and playing music her whole life but found her musical home when she came across barbershop. Those close harmonies produce absolute magic and Vivacity is a constant source of joy. She lives with her hugely supportive (and long suffering) husband and their two dogs, one of whom loves nothing more than joining in with Vivacity rehearsals, once or twice even hitting the right key!

Sarah discovered her love of barbershop singing over 20 years ago, following many happy years performing in school choirs and treading the boards with a local operatic society. Today, she is proud to sing tenor in the barbershop quartet Vivacity, alongside her daughter Caitlin — her finest creation — who sings lead. When she's not making music, life at home keeps Sarah wonderfully busy, with a very supportive husband, three sons, two horses, three dogs, six hens, and a rather opinionated rooster called Ronnie!

Karen is happily married with two grown-up children and two wonderful grandchildren, and family is at the heart of everything she does. Singing has been a lifelong passion and for over 35 years, it has brought countless moments of connection and joy. Today, that same passion lives on through Vivacity, which brings the greatest joy to her life — allowing her to share music, energy, and inspiration with others in a truly meaningful way.

Caitlin has been surrounded by music for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she sang constantly and learned both the violin and piano, developing a deep love for performance that led her to pursue a degree in performing arts. That all changed a few years ago when she came along to a singalong (Mariah Carey — who could resist?) and instantly felt at home. It was there that she met Mary, and not long after, fell in love with barbershop harmony too.
